First try, so not great.

LOL, John. I wish I had a Tablet to do this with. And I really should have known better than compressing a RED flower. Thank you for the help.

A tablet would make things easier but they're not cheap.
Working with compressed 72 dpi images is ok for practicing but you'll get a better result if you work on full res images before you compress them for the web. You won't get that 'blurring' effect that way.

I've posted a 'tutorial' on 'Quick Mask' selection if you care to have a try at that too. It's been put up for my brother to have a look at, he's got an interest in photoshop. Have look at it anyway, it's not as difficult as it might first seem. It's an area you could explore should you want to mix parts of different fractals. If you can manage to make a selection and end up with the 'flashing lines'It's just a short skip and a jump to the good bits!

Thanks John, Picked it up and put it in my Tuts. Having trouble with 7, won't pick up my files. Have to go to pick files up through Image Ready first, but then can sent to 7. Grrrr.

There are a few ways to access images in Photoshop!
1 File>open

2 Use the file 'browser' which you can find in Window>browser

3 When Photoshop opens up double left click on the Grey blank screen, this will open up a window on the screen which you can program to automatically go to 'my pictures folder'

Ok you technical men!! I took an entire class about using quick mask - but I only use elements, so I don't even have that tool at home. I used to have 7 but it stopped working :( Now I really just want to get my hands on the whole CS3, but dang that is insanely priced!!

That history brush btw - makes my head hurt! :)
